It’s Final Review Time. Please show up 15 minutes early to set up your portfolio in the area you are assigned. Take time setting up to present your work in the best possible way. This may mean that you must fix, retouch or cleanup artworks. Reviews are are important, required of all students, and will not be rescheduled.

So what will these last weeks look like? Well, you’ll be finishing up your classes next week and then we’ll have three days of reviews followed by a big huge clean up of the studios. Then we will all work together to hang the exhibition. Then… the OPENING. I’ve put it all together with some dates and times below!
April 22-26 FINAL WEEK OF LABS
April 24 WEDNESDAY, Ryonji Drawing with Prof. Andrew Bring all required materials! Location to be announced.
April 25 (TH) Based in Truth: Alfred Stories 7:00-8:30 Alfred Village Hall, All Invited!
April 29 – May 1 (M-W) REVIEWS You will have one 15 minute review time with faculty. Please arrive early and put work on the wall under your number. The schedules ARE POSTED in HARDER.
May 2 (TH) REQUIRED CLEAN UP! Attendance will be taken. Anyone not arriving on time and staying until end will not be allowed to show work.
May 3 (F) INSTALLATION All students required to attend and participate.
May 4 (S) 1-4, 2013 Year End Celebration and Exhibition!
Professor Andrew Deutsch will be working with you to create a Ryonji Drawing following John Cage’s score. And the amazing news is that the works you create will be exhibited at the National Gallery in Tbilisi Georgia!
You’ll need to bring to class:
12 stones, each should be about the size of your palm or smaller.
a BUNCH of “not dusty” drawing materials – NO chalk or dusty stuff. Water colors are okay, Sharpies not so good. The more drawing materials the better.
one or two sheets of 12 in x 12 in paper
6 sided dice (one or two).
a ruler or straight edge
