This Week’s Schedule!

Monday/Tuesday 8am – 11 am Reviews in Cohen (see blog post for your scheduled time and what to bring)

Wednesday 9- 11 am Clean Up PLEASE NOTE CHANGE! Due to the size of the exhibition this year, we will need you ALL to show up for the entire morning. Please meet in Harder, and we will divide up from there.

Thursday 8am –11am Installation of Exhibition ALL student required to be there all morning.

Friday  8am –11am REQUIRED Final Critique of Exhibition

Saturday Exhibition Cohen and Harder from 1-3:30pm

What to bring to my reviews?

Your 15 minutes of fame is almost here! This is what faculty would like you to bring.

Please note: Any documentation should be in 81/2 x 11 format, one image to a sheet. You may also bring your computer to show your blog or do a power point with not more than 10 images. No un-curated photo folders will be accepted.

It’s Final Review Time. All reviews will be held in Cohen Studios. Please show up 15 minutes early to set up your portfolio in the area you are assigned. Take time setting up to present your work in the best possible way. This may mean that you must fix, retouch or cleanup artworks.

Reviews are are important, required of all students, and will not be rescheduled.



A Pop-Up Shop!

Hey coLAB students, NBC News just highlighted an artist in Pittsburgh who is hosting her own Pop-Up Shop Project that brings to light wage inequality! And one of you professors was there, Click the link to see the video.

Pennsylvania Shop Gives Women a Discount to Highlight Pay Disparities

A pop-up shop owner in Pennsylvania hopes to start a conversation about the pay disparity between men and women by charging women 24 percent less, which is the average difference between male and female salaries in the state.

Women in Pennsylvania make 76 cents for every dollar a man makes, according to the National Women’s Law Center. The national average is not much better with women making on average only 78 percent of what their male counterparts make, according to the American Association of University Women.

Surround Sound Workshop!

2000px-5-1-surround-sound.svgAlex Ashcroft is offering a surround sound workshop Tuesday night ( tomorrow).  The workshop will demonstrate how to develop a surround sound project.  The workshop will meet from 7-9 pm in the Harder Hall Studio in the Fuse Lab section where we have built a small room.

All you will need is a note book and some sound files on a flash drive.
