This week we will introduce you to artist Ben Kinsley during your 9am Wednesday class in Nevins Theater. Ben’s projects have ranged from choreographing a neighborhood intervention into Google Street View, directing surprise theatrical performances inside the homes of strangers, organizing a paranormal concert series, staging a royal protest, investigating feline utopia, collecting put-down jokes from around the world, and planting a buried treasure in the streets of Mexico City (yet to be found).

Ben Kinsley’s work has been exhibited internationally at venues such as: Cleveland Museum of Art; Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Cleveland; Bureau for Open Culture; Mattress Factory Museum, Pittsburgh; Flux Space, Philadelphia; Katonah Museum of Art, NY; Green on Red Gallery, Dublin; Centro di Cultura Contemporanea Strozzina, Florence; La Galería de Comercio, Mexico City; Catalyst Arts, Belfast; and ZKM Museum of Contemporary Art, Karlsruhe. He has participated in numerous artist residency programs including: the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture; Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts; Skaftfell Art Center, Iceland; Askeaton Contemporary Arts, Ireland; and The Luminary Center for the Arts, St. Louis, MO.
This Wednesday you will be meeting with either Michelle, Angie or Kat for spring course advising. We will be meeting you in the Harder Hall Studio. Please bring a typed or neatly handwritten schedule that shows what courses you will have completed by the end of this semester and your proposed schedule for next semester.

Monday morning A and B Groups will begin new classes.
A Group: You will be meeting with Profs. Wixted, Latanzi, and Gill in the front section of the Harder Hall studio. Please bring your drawing boards and kits. **Make sure that your kits contain drawing tools such as charcoal, pencils, erasers and drawing board clips.
B Group: You will be meeting with Profs. Illuminato and Hunter in the basement of the Cohen Studio. To access the building you must enter your AU student number into the key pad located on the front doors. Please bring: your laptops and a notebook.
